The Howardson Group team was proud to attend this year’s GMA Connect 2026 at Abingdon School, where we joined industry professionals from across the UK for a day dedicated to innovation, collaboration and the future of grounds management.

Representing our trusted brands, Dennis and SISIS, the team was on site showcasing a range of specialist equipment designed to support high-quality turf maintenance across a wide variety of sports and amenity surfaces.

A key highlight of the day was the demonstration of our latest electric Dennis machines, which attracted significant interest from attendees looking to reduce emissions and operating noise without compromising on performance. As sustainability continues to play an increasingly important role in grounds management, the shift towards battery-powered equipment is becoming a major focus for facilities across the UK.

Alongside this, the SISIS range generated strong interest, particularly the Quadraplay, which was on display throughout the event. Designed as a versatile, multi-functional maintenance system, the Quadraplay offers four key operations in one pass — aeration, brushing, rolling and surface grooming- helping grounds teams improve efficiency while maintaining consistent playing quality. Its adaptability makes it ideal for routine and renovation work across natural turf surfaces.

Also featured was the Multitiner, a highly effective aeration solution known for its ability to relieve compaction, improve drainage and encourage healthier root development. Its precision and ease of use make it a popular choice for maintaining optimal soil conditions throughout the season.

Completing the SISIS line-up was the towed Twin Play implement frame, offering operators the flexibility to carry out multiple maintenance tasks simultaneously. By combining implements in a single pass, the Twin Play helps increase productivity while reducing time and labour requirements - a key benefit for busy grounds teams managing large or multi-use areas.

Throughout the event, we had the opportunity to connect directly with grounds professionals, offering practical advice and demonstrating how our solutions can help meet the everyday demands of turf care. Events like these are invaluable — not only for sharing knowledge, but also for gaining first-hand insight into the challenges and innovations shaping the industry. It's always nice to meet our customers face to face.

Speaking at the event, Jason Briggs commented:
“GMA Connect events are a fantastic way for us to engage directly with the people using our equipment day in, day out. There’s a real appetite for innovation, particularly around sustainable solutions and it’s been great to showcase our electric Dennis range here at Abingdon. The feedback has been extremely positive, especially from those looking to future-proof their maintenance operations. It was great to demonstrate our popular SISIS equipment with the Quadraplay getting alot of interest''

It was fantastic to engage with so many dedicated grounds staff, hear their experiences, and discuss how the right equipment can make a real difference in maintaining safe, high-performing playing surfaces.

We’d like to thank everyone who stopped by to speak with us. At Howardson Group, we’re proud to support the people behind the UK’s playing surfaces and remain committed to providing reliable, effective turf maintenance solutions.
