When the Dennis PRO-34R's were launched, it was something we seriously looked at because we place great trust in the reliability and the quality of the rest of the Dennis machines. We had the confidence to just go and purchase six, four for the training ground and two for Selhurst Park.
“I have used the Dennis G860 cylinder mowers since 2001 and when I moved here there was already a fleet of nine G860’s and four Dennis PRO 34R rotary mowers. I felt it was a nobrainer to stay with Dennis.
The Dennis G860 mower is so easy and comfortable to use, versatile and gives a great finish.
The S500 has the ability to have a quick turnaround on the lawns when renovating. We also use it on heavy used areas such as football goalmouths with great success.
Previously we were using a 26" mower for the lawns and it had fairly small grass box, so we were forever emptying it. Since changing to the Dennis G30D we are saving a significant amount of time and we are getting an incredible finish and presentation - something that is incredibly important at the school.
We had the Razor on demonstration and were instantly impressed. The members loved it and they could instantly tell which green it had been demonstrated on. When the treasurer cam out, he saw the quality of cut and said right we were having it now.
We are all absolutely delighted with the Razor Ultra, it is a fabulous piece of kit and we use it three times a week during the season
I have managed to significantly reduce the amount of thatch since we bought a Dennis FT510 and verticutting cassette. It has really improved the playing surface of the green.
It is an operators dream. It's comfortable to use and I really like the round handlebars- it makes it so much easier for turning and manoeuvring around the green. The finish is second to none and I find it hard to believe that there is another mower out there that cuts as well as this does.
The ease of use is brilliant, and it takes just seconds to change the cutting height.
“We can get a whole pitch cut on one single charge without fear of it running out,If three of us go out, each with a mower, it will take us about an hour and half, and the charge will be on approximately 80-85% when we’ve finished. To lose just a small amount of battery for an hour and a half of cutting is phenomenal.”
Battery range is so important because if you are over the far side of the site with two to three pitches to cut it is imperative it lasts. The ES-860’s haven’t run out on us yet.
With the ES-860 mowers we can be on the pitch next to the players while they are training, and they are so quiet that they do not stop us. It is a vast improvement in productivity.
Battery Equipment has come a long way in the last few years, but I believe Dennis has gone a step further and made it even better. We no longer have to wear ear defenders, have no vibrations or noise. Electric is no longer the future, its the now.
We can comfortably mow the entire outfield twice on just one charge with the Dennis ES-860. I love how the mower glides across the outfield, it is the smoothest machine I have ever used.
The ES-34R does a brilliant job hoovering up all the debris, but the finish is incredible too. You could use it on a match day to prepare the pitch, it is that good.
I love how quiet the ES-860’s are – we can talk over them and we don’t find ourselves shouting from one end of the pitch to the other .
The battery life is unbelievable on the ES-34R’s - One mower will do a whole pitch and you can still have at least 40% battery life left.
A very informative day – I’ve never been to anything like it before. I started out helping on the green with almost no knowledge about how it worked, but the seminar was incredibly clear and easy to follow. I’ve come away with a solid plan to help improve our green and keep it in top condition going forward. A great experience for anyone looking to learn practical, hands-on greenkeeping skills.
I thought that the day was first class. It was well structured and kept to is published timetable. The presenters were first class too. Above all, the whole day was interesting and informative.
I have found it extremely reassuring that everyone is in the same boat. We all have the same struggles no matter where we work or what our job title is. Today has been brilliant and offered so many solutions.
A fantastic day for networking with other like-minded people who face the same challenges we do. The seminar was packed with practical advice and insights and it’s great to share experiences and solutions with others in the same boat. I’d highly recommend it to anyone involved in greenkeeping – it’s not just about learning, it’s about connecting and taking away ideas you can actually use. We can’t wait for next year.
The day was full of really useful information throughout. I came to learn more about machinery and the proper way to use it, but I also picked up a lot about topdressing – I realised I’d been doing it wrong and now understand the better practices to follow with the machinery. A very worthwhile seminar.
The whole day was really helpful from the initial lectures on lawn management to the practical session on Lawnmower maintenance (a revelation!) To the practical demonstrations of the various machines and the final lecture.
